The Best Pairing For Coffee Is THC And CBD

Here in Washington, coffee is the king and queen of quick food or drinks. Many critics will say that the best pairing for coffee is food when actually, it’s all about coffee and cannabis. If you like to wake n bake, coffee and cannabis can sometimes be a tricky situation.

Mixing coffee and cannabis can sometimes lead to your body feeling weird. Compare it to mixing a sleeping pill with a shot of adrenaline. Mentally you’re likely to be tired from an indica strain but the caffeine is likely to keep you pushing. If you can identify which strains work for you, or if you can figure out your ratio of liquid THC and CBD, we’re confident that coffee and cannabis can easily become a positive addition to your day.

Caffeine supplies the energy and a little motivation while cannabis typically brings about euphoria and creativity. This sounds like a great strategy for productive success. With innovation in the cannabis industry improving at such a fast pace, it is no surprise that companies like Pearl2O and Ollala have created products that are perfect for those of you looking for that perfect cup of joe.

When you visit Kushmart next, ask for the Pearl2O weed water. If you pour 1 shot, roughly 5-10mg of THC & CBD into a cup of coffee, you’d be surprised how quick the effects of the cannabis actually hits you. We regularly use this product as an ingredient with teas and sparkling drinks.

Cooking With Cannabis: Infused Tortillas Ft. Pearl2O

A friend of ours really loves cooking and recently shared that it’s always been a way for her to relax after a long day or week. Since she’s Texan, one comfort food she’s seriously missing is homemade flour tortillas. Now that she’s living in a weed state and away from friends and family, she’s been starting to cook things she never mastered while living at home.

Enter infused homemade flour tortillas.

Utilizing the magical miracle water, Pearl2O, our friend used a 1:1 ratio of THC and CBD water to create the tortillas. Check out her recipe below and let us know if you need any help once you start mixing things together.

Pearl2O Infused Flour Tortilla Recipe

2 cups flour

1 teaspoon Salt

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 cup of Vegetable shorting

Up to 1 cup of warm water of Pearl2O – Find Pearl2O

Directions:

Combine flour, salt and baking powder in a mixing bowl. Add shorting and blend with dry ingredients, using your hands, until the flour looks crumbly.

Slowly add water and mix the dough until water is absorbed (about half a cup). The dough should be a non-sticky consistency. Knead 2 minutes, cover with a damp towel and let rest 10 minutes. Divide into twelve 1-inch balls. (If you want larger tortillas you can use more dough per tortilla just know each one will have less mg)

Using a rolling pin on a lightly floured surface, roll each ball into a 7 inch round. Keep tortillas covered with a towel to prevent drying.

Heat pan over medium-high heat. Place tortilla on preheated skillet; cook each side about 30 seconds.

This recipe should make about 12 tortillas.

CALCULATING THE THC AND CBD CONTENTS:

“This recipe is basic and considering I wanted to get a small buzz, mission accomplished. Each tortilla had approximately 3mg of THC and CBD. How did I figure this out? Just some quick math and an equation.

THC and CBD in the dish = (volume used)/(total Volume )*THC/CBD_bottle

So in this example, the recipe used was 1/2 cup of water.

(1/2 cup / ~2 cups) *100 = 25 THC and CBD in the whole dish

I made 8 tortillas so I can estimate that I had around 3THC CBD in each tortilla.” – Respect My Region’s Jessica Garcia

Cooking With Weed: Best Cannabis Recipes Ft. Pot Gravy

One of our good friends has been experimenting with cannabis recipes. She never really was around in a way that compares to how Washington’s culture is. For Thanksgiving, she hosted a group of friends and decided to serve two types of gravy.

According to her, the plan was to create two types, one with cannabis and one without. She’s a very thoughtful person and wanted to make sure her friends who don’t consume were still taken care of.

She identified the issue of “Making two of the same types of food… (and) how to keep my guest from accidentally ingesting the “special gravy.” Check out her recipe and general tips below.

“I can really only share two basic tips to help you prevent accidental consumption at your next dinner party. For starters, I kept it simple and purchased two gravy bowls. One was glass the other was white ceramic. Additionally, I used a dry erase marker and wrote “POT” to help guest know that gravy boat had cannabis in it. All my guest had a good time and nobody accidentally consumed any cannabis.”

CANNABIS GRAVY RECIPE:
  • 2 tablespoons drippings
  • 1-1/2 cup stock
  • 1/4 cup Pearl2O
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (or more if needed)
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Cannabis Gravy Directions:

1. After you have browned meat and removed it from the pan, there will be bits of meat and browned fat stuck to the bottom of the pan. You may want to skim off some of the liquid fat before you start making the pan sauce. Make sure you have about 2 tablespoons of drippings in the pan.

2. Add 1-1/2 cups stock, wine, or water to the pan. Bring the mixture to a boil, scraping with a spoon or wire whisk to loosen the drippings from the pan.

3. In small bowl, combine 1/4 cup water with the flour and mix until smooth.

4. Stir flour mixture into the pan and bring to a boil. Boil for about 5 minutes to reduce the sauce and so the sauce thickens.

5. Add salt to taste. Keep tasting the sauce; when you have added enough salt, the flavor will suddenly blossom.

6. Remove pan from heat and whisk in butter, cream, or olive oil until smooth. Serve immediately.
