A friend of ours really loves cooking and recently shared that it’s always been a way for her to relax after a long day or week. Since she’s Texan, one comfort food she’s seriously missing is homemade flour tortillas. Now that she’s living in a weed state and away from friends and family, she’s been starting to cook things she never mastered while living at home.
Enter infused homemade flour tortillas.
Utilizing the magical miracle water, Pearl2O, our friend used a 1:1 ratio of THC and CBD water to create the tortillas. Check out her recipe below and let us know if you need any help once you start mixing things together.
Pearl2O Infused Flour Tortilla Recipe
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon Salt
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 cup of Vegetable shorting
Up to 1 cup of warm water of Pearl2O – Find Pearl2O
Combine flour, salt and baking powder in a mixing bowl. Add shorting and blend with dry ingredients, using your hands, until the flour looks crumbly.
Slowly add water and mix the dough until water is absorbed (about half a cup). The dough should be a non-sticky consistency. Knead 2 minutes, cover with a damp towel and let rest 10 minutes. Divide into twelve 1-inch balls. (If you want larger tortillas you can use more dough per tortilla just know each one will have less mg)
Using a rolling pin on a lightly floured surface, roll each ball into a 7 inch round. Keep tortillas covered with a towel to prevent drying.
Heat pan over medium-high heat. Place tortilla on preheated skillet; cook each side about 30 seconds.
This recipe should make about 12 tortillas.
CALCULATING THE THC AND CBD CONTENTS:
“This recipe is basic and considering I wanted to get a small buzz, mission accomplished. Each tortilla had approximately 3mg of THC and CBD. How did I figure this out? Just some quick math and an equation.
THC and CBD in the dish = (volume used)/(total Volume )*THC/CBD_bottle
So in this example, the recipe used was 1/2 cup of water.
(1/2 cup / ~2 cups) *100 = 25 THC and CBD in the whole dish
I made 8 tortillas so I can estimate that I had around 3THC CBD in each tortilla.” – Respect My Region’s Jessica Garcia
