Cub Swanson has seen his share of adversity, more than most do. He escaped a troubled youth to become one of the most exciting mixed martial artists on the planet. He’s won 10 of his last 12 fights and his wins are separated by a two-fight skid that more than likely cost him a UFC title shot. Cub only fights the best fighters on the planet and when he loses, he comes back stronger than ever.
We can all take a lesson from that mentality. Always take on the most difficult challenge in front of you. The worst thing that will happen is you fail, but you get to learn and come back stronger. Welcome and attack any challenge that scares you. Throw spinning wheel kicks at that potential failure with reckless abandon; you’ll either win or learn.
A sativa that always helps motivate me is XJ-13. A strain that I allegedly used to smoke in high school, this one always got me hyped up and out of the house for the day. Go explore the world and find your fire. Smoke some weed, take a few deep breaths and find your inner fighter.
