If you’re a Seahawks fan, you’ve most likely heard of Shaquill Griffin. He was drafted 90th overall in the 2017 NFL Draft. What you might not know is he has a twin brother that attends the same school, the University of Central Florida. His name is Shaquem Griffin and his story is incredible.
Shaquem was born with a defect that caused his hand to be malformed. It was amputated when he was four years old. If you take a look at his list of accomplishments, you wouldn’t guess he has one hand. A star high school athlete who was kept up with his two-handed brother on all levels, he even did some things quicker, Sports Illustrated reports.
Shaquem’s story is inspirational, but that’s not a good enough word to describe it. This story is POWERFUL. Proof that anything is possible when you stop making excuses, stop thinking and go to work. Build momentum one task at a time, one day at a time. Eventually, the momentum is unstoppable. If Shaquem can become a professional athlete with one hand, whatever excuse you have for not doing something you love sucks, period.
If it’s hard to wrap your head around the fact this dude is blowing up offensive lineman with one hand, smoke some cannabis and watch these highlights. A good suggestion is Atomic Orange from Oleum. Known for their extracts, they’re releasing small batches of house-grown flower.
